Celebrate Earth Day

Lowe’s is celebrating Earth Day 2011 by giving away 1 million trees when visiting a local Lowe’s Store on 4/23/11. Visit their website at Lowe’s Earth Day and find a local store to receive your own Earth Day tree.

Tips include reminders to check fix leaky faucets, reuse water by using a Rain Water Collection and Storage System, and keep a Brita Water Pitcher in your fridge for cold water instead of running water until it is cold. - Swap kids clothes, visit your local goodwill or charity thrift stores - you will help a charity in need and receive clothes in good condition at a fraction of the cost.
- Instead of high lawn water bills, find plants that are native to your area and require less maintenance, or use a Rain Water Collection and Storage System to harness the power of nature.
